The centre of motor sport in England, where approximately 75% of the machines for international races such as F1 and WRC are manufactured, has the long history and tradition of car racing, namely the centre of motor sport for the entire world.

Once a thriving castletown, today Banbury, Oxfordshire is a beautiful town with more than 1600 years of history. This is where PRODRIVE is based.
It all began back in 1984 when 1981 WRC champion co-driver David Richards (Ari Vatanen as driver) established a small workshop with partner Ian Parry. PRODRIVE may have only started with a modest complement of four employees, but within several years, the company enhanced its technical expertise and race know-how to capture titles in the WRC and BTCC. Today, it represents world-class factory teams.
This technical development knowledge drawn from years of competing in circuit racing and rallying, is now being felt not only in the motorsport world, but by the entire automotive industry.
Centred around its motorsports background, PRODRIVE wields considerable clout in most facets of the industry starting with its research and development of engines, transmissions, chassis and electronics. It also acts as an influential consultant to some of the world's major manufacturers in addition to producing and selling its own original street-legal parts and race cars.
