Compare to the image of severity that a racing car is demanded, a comfortable driving seat is essential for a driver to concentrate on a race when situation changes every moment. To meet such severe conditions a driving seat is required to provide some functions for instance, a natural posture without unreasonableness to a driver, a support to endure the strong G force and a high level of security. In addition, its shape should fit perfectly to the racing car.
This PRODRIVE TOURING SEAT is the perfect product that PRODRIVE researched and developed in cooperating with RECARO to satisfy a demand of racing drivers who do not forgive any compromise.
The shape of the seat is designed based on ergonomics to understand the road surface condition. Dinamica (new material) and synthetic leather are adopted for underside material for composed design and endurance. The backrest can be reclined horizontally and the recliner is adjustable from both sides. The headrest united to the backrest protects driver's head from an impact. Belt halls don't apply any stress on the shoulder when wearing a racing harness. The side and shoulder supports contribute to keep driving position correctly under the strong G force. The seat cushion absorbs an impact from the road but has a comfortable softness. The depth of the seat cushion is adjustable to the build of a driver, so it reduces the physical fatigue and improves controllability of pedals.
